Initial Visit (What To Expect):
1. Welcome
Welcome to our office. Upon your arrival, our chiropractic assistant will greet you and provide you with the necessary forms to complete regarding your condition. The initial paperwork can also be downloaded through the New Patient Center, under Patient Registration.
2. Consultation
Our chiropractic assistant will lead you to the doctor’s office for a one on one consultation. The doctor will discuss your health history and present symptoms. They will gather the appropriate information to help them form a correct diagnosis.
3. Examination
After your consultation, you will be led to the examination room, where the doctor will perform a thorough orthopedic and neurological exam. X-rays will be taken at that time if indicated. Along with your history, this examination will aid the doctor in forming an accurate diagnosis along with an appropriate treatment plan.
4. Report of Findings
The doctors will analyze your x-ray films and compare them to your exam findings to form an accurate diagnosis. She will review this with you at your report of findings on the following workday. If the doctor feels your problem is out of their scope of practice, you will be referred to the appropriate healthcare provider.
5. Therapy
After the examination, we will perform the indicated physiotherapy to begin the healing process in one of our comfortable therapy rooms. After your treatment, we will provide you with an extensive information packet about your particular problem, in addition to home instructions to prepare you for your first adjustment the following day.
6. The Adjustment
After reviewing your x-rays and treatment plan, you will receive your first chiropractic adjustment in one of our comfortable, private treatment rooms, in addition to your prescribed therapy. Before leaving our office, you will receive personalized exercise instructions to help the healing process. We at Scott Chiropractic Center are dedicated to teaching you how to take care of your spinal health.
